stacey Townsend
Assistant tennis professional

Stacey grew up in North Dakota where she played basketball, softball, and even football. She learned to play tennis watching her idol, Chris Evert, and then hitting the ball against her garage door, or going to the closest school and hitting against the brick. She played high school tennis and basketball in Grand Forks, ND. She moved to Colorado shortly after high school and played basketball for Metropolitan State School of Denver. She earned her B.S. in Human Resource Management and was in management with Walgreens for

several years. She then was a stay-at-home-mom, and always had wished she had gone into coaching. She began her tennis coaching career with the City of Aurora in 2015. She is a USTA Certified Professional Instructor and specializes in developing young kids and ultimately preparing them for high school tennis. She also enjoys working with women and getting them ready

for league play or to play just for fun.
