John Thornhill began playing tennis at the age of 16 and quickly fell in love with the sport. He spent the rest of his high school years living on tennis courts at Washington Park and Gates Tennis Center hitting with anyone that was willing to hit with him. After a short stint playing at Metro State University, John began teaching tennis to work his way through college, he has been a teaching Pro at Gates Tennis Center, Lifetime Fitness and is currently the Head Pro at the Parker Racquet Club.  

 

John has worked with players of all levels and ages throughout his teaching career, he helped guide several USTA teams to Nationals, has coached numerous Colorado High School State Tennis Champions and won he the 5.0 Colorado State Championship in 2017.  John is known for bringing his energy, passion and enthusiasm for tennis with him wherever he goes and thrives on helping make people lifetime tennis players.
